Making My Own Meme: Celebrities A-Z
So I've decided I'm a very boring lj-er, indeed. I hardly ever post.
So I came up with this idea in the shower this morning (Where I do my "finest" thinking) that I would begin posting pics of my favorite celebrities (be they actors, singers, artists, politicians, etc. I haven't decided yet) using a letter of the alphabet every day. I don't expect it will be all that exciting but it's really just an excuse for me to post more often! :)
So flist, please bear with me as we go through 26 of some of my favorite people that I have never met.
Today's celeb is brought to you by the letter "A".
Angelina Jolie
So no one I know in real life understands why I love her. All of my friends claim to "hate" her.
She's the "freak", and the "home wrecker", and the "bad guy".
And yet, my love remains untarnished. Yes, she's made some very questionable decisions in the distant past, but it's hard to overlook the changes she's made in the recent one.
I admire her intelligence, her desire to make a difference, her humanitarian work, and the classic, clean sense of style she's grown into. I love that she uses her influence for good. And there's just something about the way she just seems to find her incredible looks to be an afterthought that wins me over.
As for her acting, how can I not love someone that portrayed such varied roles as Lara Croft (Nerd Alert: I used to love that game!) on one hand, and Mariane Pearl on the other?
Plus, she's a bad ass, and that's one thing even the naysayers can agree on.
(I totally had this pic of her in Kosovo in my dorm room when I was 19 and wanted to change the world. Seems like a very long time ago.)
