I can't believe we're at this time of year again already. I could've sworn, we just started the school year a few months ago. Now all of these grads, all these people I've known, seen, passed in the halls since 8th grade, are moving on. There'll be no more mention of their athletic or academic achievements on the announcements. There'll be no more Kelly Ireland or Steph Shea to offer me rides back to school next year. There'll be no more Pratima playing piano at masses. No Jane to sing the solos. No more Connie, no more Steph Leonor. This'll be so weird.
I can't believe we're getting grad sweaters. The candle & rose ceremony gave me this odd fleeting glimpse of what it'll be like when it's us looking down at the school in white grad gowns from the stage next year. Scary.
I don't want to graduate. The grad mass and ceremony were both very pretty and all, but I'll bet it was quite the long day for the Gr.12s. It certainly was for me, and I was only volunteering. o.O"
I miss 8th grade. I've mastered literary analysis by now, Mrs Clarke. I won't get 66% in English now! Let's do it over again.
