I started hw at 9:30, since I went out for dinner with my cousins(or something) after swim practice. Good luck with yours. It was the moon festival thingy today. Don't know what it's called in English, but you know... As a result of the dinner, I had some interesting conversations with my Auntie Iris, witnessed my "cousins'" difficulties with the crab, and got some more Walkathon pledges. By "cousins," I'm saying they're not actually related to me that way. Chris, Kenneth, and Clement feel more like cousins than anything, but actually, these guys are a generation... under me? By some twisted turn of events, I'm actually something like an aunt to them. It's quite odd for someone like 18/19 year old Chris to call me their aunt, so... we rely on first name basis, like it'd be with cousins. Oh, on that note, it's even weirder for the graduated Chris, or even his younger siblings Kenneth and Clement[ade](haha, like 'lemonade,' but 'Clementade') to call my 8 year old brother an uncle. Clement's voice is changing. And I think he's taller than me. Freaky. He was smaller than me last time I saw him, I'm pretty sure. I'm scared. I used to be in grade 8. And now I'm not.
Oh, and I kept running into 8th graders during swimming today. Jen and I were ahead of everyone else in our lane, since we kept lapping them, and that meant going around a lot of people. So I'd be trying to get past someone whose feet I repeatedly swam into, meaning that I was beside them. Of course, there are people coming at you in the opposite lane... Plus, I find certain Grade 8s keep veering off track, and would swim into my lane and just about run into me. I think they see me, too, and their lane isn't full, yet they just like to swim over onto people coming in the opposite direction. Watch out for 8th graders with no sense of direction. It could mean head on collision.
That didn't make sense, did it?
