Bison Shootings
So I just finished reading an article from The Denver Post about a man sentenced to 10 days in jail for shooting 35 bison in South Park (yes, this is a place in CO, not just on TV). Apparently the bison were able to escape their ranch and get onto the neighbor's property. The shooter was a Texan and afraid that the bison were dangerous. There were multiple bullet wounds in all the bison and they were left for dead, no meat taken and some had been pregnant.
Stupid way to solve the problem.... but the best part was this quote:
"They weren't trying to kill them," Armstrong said. "They were using high-powered rifles to pepper them."
Hmm... maybe the popo should start using high powered rifles to discourage rioters. It won't kill them, right?
