Awesome Weekend!

Autumn is amazing. I had a great weekend, and if it weren't time for me to go to bed, I'd write about it
-I'll edit this post soon with some meat-
Huzzah  Cora, Dawn and Aristobulus (Chris Anderson)!

*EDIT*
Friday: Environmental Club walk to the Wood duck box behind the school. Aristobulus comes over, as does Cora and the G, to sleep out by Pete Reneson's property. We forgot a torch so the fire had to be made with a knife and magnesium. Cora was stubborn and wouldn't give the things to us to try starting the fire. But she got it, obvously, for there was exciting times with marshmellows and... Salvia divinorium. Alas, nothing. After Gordon was back to the house, teary eyed and homesick, Aristobulus, Cora and I relaxed by melting into the forest floor, watching the moon 'twixt branch, bracken, and fern.
Howling ensued. I need some howling partners, who aren't afraid to let their voice ring! Any takers for  howling buddies?
Wasn't too cold of a night. Cora fell asleep fast, while A and I chatted about childhood-ness

Saturday Woke up around 9:00 b/c Cora had soccer, packed up the tent and walked the 17 minutes out of the wood. Yay for not having to find the way, without a path, in the dark. Baskin Robin icecream makes good lunch. Went cemetary gazing down by river road and found a grave of Aristobulus (thus Chris Anderson's pirate name). I'll share the awesome inscriptions later. Then we had to crank out lab report information on chondrichthyes and osteicthyes for enviromental science. The lazyness of precamping took over. Staving off sleep was tricky. Watched Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy with delicious Party Cake icecream that evening.

Sunday :Met up with Cora, LaBreck, Csere, Dawn, Katie, Kyle Dee, Aristobulus for the CT Ren Faire in Hebron!! Awesome times. I saw the Ren rabbit furry! After watching Cora get strung up and then fluffed at the Potted Fox, there was much laughing, scoping out hot pirate boots/hats and cheap bodices (which don't exist). The peasant man has a thing for me. Oh yes, I wore the green sleeve-a-licious green dress I made. Some man bowed to me, tipped his head and said princess. Oh yeah! I bought golden devil horns and a 20$ felt pirate hat *squee* they make me happy. Drool. Oh yes, LaBreck modeled my sewing abilities in the rust tunic.
After the Faire, I took Cora home, brought Aristobulus to the house and Dawn followed in her Hawley Smoot Mobile. We set up the tent at the Cave and stumbled back home through the woods. It was so late that sight was just at the edge of being unable to see. We forgot flashlights. Dawn made yummy brownies ( I love you Dawn!) and we headed out to the Cave, drum, and spiritual books in hand/backpack. After starting the fire by the main cave wall, Dawn and I meditated/talked on top of the 15ft boulder, the fir craclink below the ledge. Twas goodly. No deer coughs this time, only high pitched squeals. Beautiful moon. I thanked Earth some more. Chris Anderson started out watching/laying down by the fire a while. I thought he was ungood, but he says otherwise.
We pulled out the drum and passed it around. Tis relaxing to feel it rattle through your ears. Finally Aristobulus gave up the fire post and learned the alure of sitting atop the main boulder.  Dawn poked off down the valley a bit and meditated a bit until she freaked herself out by confusing a fern group as a small child *looks deviously at Dawn man* Then we all basked on the moonlit rock. Absolutely wonderful.

Monday: Woke up late and bothered Aristobulus on the rock again. Barefoot walking is nice and quiet. Went back to house for brekkie, then walked back the nigh mile to the cave to pick up the tent and make dreamcatchers, courtesy of Anderson. Very pretty, all them. Used turkey feathers and pheasant feathers from past hunting. After lunch, Dawn went home :( and Chris and I struggled through some more homework and bouts of lazy. Chris bought Valerian at the ren faire and it stunk up my room hardcore. More partycake icecream and then fun times writting a damn lab report to end a most amazing weekend.
