DELUHI DVD:BLITZKRIEG

Jan 07, 2011 21:21

I just watched Blitzkrieg DVD for the first time. I'll watch it again for sure, because there were some interruptions so I couldn't 100% enjoy it. *sigh*

But of course I still can write down some impressions.

The LIVE is full of energy, although generally it's not the best yet. It was "interesting" because I spotted some imperfection during some parts, especially the drum parts...? I think I heard some inharmonious tempos. ('.'a Or was it because the "imperfect" sound equipments? Or because DELUHI's songs have difficult drum tempos? I don't know for sure, but, on the other hand, Papa Sujk's solo drums session was definitely impressive (too bad it's not the Mario Bros theme song! T-T). During the whole LIVE, Papa's energy was really awesome. Despite some imperfect parts which I spotted before, he still showed amazing drum skills. But OMG I can see his ribs, does he eat properly? o.o' Ehh it looked like muscles too though. xD; *confused*

Juri's vocal sounds pretty nice and stable, powerful growl, nice control. Although he kinda 'lost' it during [Departure], but overall I'm impressed with his vocal. So much better than he did during Grave Seed era. And I guess Juri is pretty good at doing vocal improvisations, it's simple but really nice. :D Cuma kadang kalo pas neriakin penonton malah fals. Pas nyanyi gahar tapi begitu teriak malah fals. Hahaha. Tapi lucu kok. xD

As for Leda, he's so energetic, cute and has successfully played perfectly in almost all solo guitars (d'oh, of course! *biased*). Man, I love listening to his guitar melodies, especially during [Shade]. Well, it's because [Shade]'s solo guitar is originally my all-time favorite. I'm so touched watching it being performed LIVE, and so flawless! I really want to watch Leda growing to be the Guitar God someday!! (>w<)

And then Aggy! My Aggy~ Too bad in most of DELUHI songs, the bass parts are not so appealing except if we pay total attention 100% to the bass sound (I do that pretty often, in the name of love!). So, during paying a huge attention to him, I realized that even though the bassline isn't really dynamic, but his fingers can be quite quick ne. Quick and stable. That's pretty awesome. (OvO) Also, I really love Aggy's energy during the whole LIVE. The way he moves, I have to say he's got a groove. ;) And he also takes a good care of the audiences by looking at them, smiling at them, communicating with expressions... it must be fun being at the shimote. :)

About the song, although I'm a die-hard fan of [No Salvation] original version, the remix version was actually quite cool. Especially the guitar parts. Too bad Juri's vocal wasn't really clear and 'satisfying' during this song.
My favorite song in this LIVE is probably [Wake Up!]. Dunno but I feel the energy and I can grab it while listening and watching. Juri's vocal sounds really great too during this song. ^-^

Well, when I watch it again I'll be more focus at it, and pay 100% attention to the whole performance... without any interruption pleee~ase. T_T;
Anyway. DELUHI is awesome, but I think they still can do better than this.

I'm saying that↑ NOT because I'm not satisfied with their performance.
But the thing is... I always watch D'espairsRay and also lynch.'s LIVE videos; and both bands are too awesome on stage. D'espa and lynch.'s LIVE performance are tooootally NEAT. And DELUHI now is not on their level yet. *I love all 3 bands so this is an objective opinion, OK*

I'm not comparing an 11-year-old and 6-year-old bands to a 2-year-old one here. I know it's irrelevant. What I'm saying is that DELUHI still has a lot to go. They're relatively new but super potential, so when they come back in the future, they HAVE to be much better. They'll make muuuchh better LIVE performances in the future!! I believe so! ^-^

Hopefully they'll make a return pretty soon ne. :)
