Well, we picked up Gandalf from the airport. He is not insanely tanned like last time, mostly because he works until about six every day, and after six it is PITCH BLACK DARK. (Welcome to living near teh equator.)
He brought back some awesome stuff such as statues carved from bone and wood. Also, he bought three little wooden men. Apparently, voodoo priests come to set them up when the family wants the eldest son to find a wife and move the hell out. He only heard that story after he bought them, which was the extra hilarious part. They're now resting on the windowsill, so we can point at them every time my brother brings home a new girlfriend, or something.
It is awesome weather here, but there's another rainstorm expected during the evening. You know, when I will be travelling. Last week, it rained so hard most of my clothes in the bag were soaked, and several had blueish smudges on them from the inside of the bag. So fingers crossed the freak rainstorm waits until I am on the train this time.
Pol and Gandalf are driving up to Maastricht tomorrow for my birthday. I have class until late in the afternoon, so they're going to shop (great excuse for Pol, of course) and then we'll meet up and have dinner in town. I think it's sweet, though a phonecall would have been sweet too.
Man, I'm going to be 21 tomorrow. Does this mean I can't read YA novels anymore?
