Holidays and zombies

Wow, I have been severely neglecting LJ. I'm pretty sure that's because whenever I think of something interesting to say, I try to write about it and suddenly it's not that interesting.

For the past few weeks, my days have been filled with projects, more projects, subtitling projects, translations, putting stuff online for Pol's Etsy shop, extra ( Read more... )

I've been around but not posting, so I have noticed your absence. I'm pretty sure that's because whenever I think of something interesting to say, I try to write about it and suddenly it's not that interesting. I hear you! Except in my case I never even get to the start-writing-about-it part.

Ooh, someone else who measures productivity by errands! As in, if I did one constructive thing today, then I'm absolutely not lazy, not at all! Even if I spent 6 hours on the computer...

I keep meaning to squeal over the fact that we're both LUSH fans AND think it's the smelliest shop in the world, even though we live on separate continents etc. Although... I read their catalogues as if they're fanfic or something, and yet I almost never buy their stuff. Or when I buy them, I never use them. (I have a Happy Pill sitting around from, uh, at least 2 years at a guess...)
It's because even though I love aromatherapy and stuff like that, I'm also a wound-up impatient person who can't calm down enough to take a bath. :P
I get more out of reading their catalogues - so I'm really a fan who doesn't actually use their stuff! :P

I felt kind of guilty, but then, who cares about reading stuff that is not very interesting? Heh, sometimes I will have written an entire LJ post in my head on the way home, but as soon as I get home, I decide it's really not that interesting.

OF COURSE. If you have done Stuff, then your day was productive. It doesn't matter you only did stuff for half an hour and spent the rest of the day lazing about. Now in my holiday, productive stuff can include: reading a magazine, walking the dog, replying to an e-mail, writing an LJ post or drawing something that does not look like crap.

Seriously, Lush smells. You generally know there is a Lush around without even having to see the store. And they are all kind of the same. They have lots of stuff, and the people working there are freakishly kind and cheerful.

I do actually use their stuff. I love their solid shampoo bars, which keeps it from getting greasy but doesn't strip all the oils and stuff, so my hair is also not super frizzy and static. I like their soaps and facemasks, too, though the facemasks are horribly expensive.

I still have four or five 'toner tabs' lying around that came in various deals. I generally give the handcreams and such to my mother or slip them in with someone's birthday presents, because I don't really use them.

Heh, I too like their catalogue-paper thing. I especially like that they put in which body butters you can lick off.
