Creeped out

Well, that was a confusing wake-up call. I just got woken by my landlady trying to get into my room. Because I lock the door at night, and leave the key in the keyhole (so I won't forget my keys) she couldn't get in. After like, four tries, she knocked on the door.

I was still asleep. Well, I was in between my first alarm next to the bed with the snooze button going off and the louder alarm on the other side of the room going off. So it wasn't like I was very angry at her for waking me up. But it was still creepy.

The landlady apologised and told me she thought I was gone and that she just wanted a picture of my room, to show what nice rooms they have. I know there's already a room vacant again, so I get that she wants to sell. But couldn't she take the picture of the vacant room? Or at least, the room of the person leaving? I agreed, mostly because I wasn't very coherant and she was very cheerful and Belgian, so I just said 'okay!' without thinking about it.

Not exactly something that makes me feel better. I know she has the key, but this is the second time she has come into my room (or tried) to do something that I feel is vaguely messing with my privacy. Like when I came back to check my schoolbooks in the summer, so I could see which ones I didn't have to order. I looked through the window and all this other furniture was in my room. The landlady had used my room as storage for another girl, because the guy who was leaving the room she'd already subletted again hadn't moved out on time.

Now she wants to take pictures of my room and put them online. My room isn't like the others! It's a double room, for one. It's also the only room with a sideways wall and corner missing, because of the front door. And really, it's my room. I should be able to confidently leave out personal information. I should be able to leave my bloody panties covering the floor, if I should want to.

But this information, and the fact that she said 'I thought you were gone' gives me the creeps. How many other times has she been to my room? Has she shown it to other people, trying to sell one of the smaller rooms? Does she go through my things? Have other people?

I think I need to talk to her, before I go home. At least find out what site these pictures are for (not like 'horneyschoolgirls-interiordesign.com' or something). And that I'd rather not she does something like this without at least an E-MAIL about it first.

Okay. Got an e-mail back from my landlady, after a timid e-mail to her that, well, it's kind of creepy that she wanted to take pictures of my room and post them online.
Thing is, she's doing a computer course about building websites, and she wanted to make one about student-rooms. She probably won't even upload the site onto the internet.

And she chose my room because she thought it was decorated the best and the prettiest. And probably because I actually keep it relatively tidy

self, rant
