It seems like that's the only thing we can do, unfortunately. Hopefully we'll be able to better face whatever comes if we prepare as best we can.

No, life can be whatever you make out of it. Now that we're prepared and know that something might happen, we can enjoy the present more, without having to worry about surprises in the future.
