I guess this place isn't picky how much or little they do it... maybe they need more people for that Coral now, though...

When the ship came in? I didn't think of that... but that's an idea.

If the coral is powered by us, as foreigners, it's possible that it requires more foreigners to recover after being split in half.

It seems like that's the only thing we can do, unfortunately. Hopefully we'll be able to better face whatever comes if we prepare as best we can.

No, life can be whatever you make out of it. Now that we're prepared and know that something might happen, we can enjoy the present more, without having to worry about surprises in the future.
