Thanksgiving!
So I thought I was going to get off on Thanksgiving and get to just work straight through it sewing wise. No such luck. We're taking a trip to Houston. I tried every Doggie Kennel place in downtown Dallas but they were all booked. Instead we're renting a car (two seat cars = no bueno for doggies on more than half an hour trip) and taking him with us. The sad part is it ended up being cheaper to rent the car than to board the Lenny.
Still no job, although I did have an interview that went odd. I had to take an IQ test. Of all things.. it was very strange. Hopefully my more than stellar performance on the test might make up for my lack of experience. Something about getting <8 wrong out of 40 when on average people that interview get =>20 wrong out of 40 that says "I'm not stupid".
So if that job potential falls through then I'm going to switch to part-time work and be able to focus more heavily on the design business I'm starting. The pieces are starting to come together for that, I've nailed down assistants, all that I'm lacking is the capital (which is what the job is for heh) and a model that lives in dallas. More to come on that if it all works out in the near future.
