Champagne, Confetti, and a Huge Glowing Ball...

Well last night was deffiantly an interesting way to ring in the new year. So first "I" and "B" took me and "A" {names have been witheld due to my not being certain of who exactly reads this journal anymore}to this shitty party in Brooklyn Heights. We walked in the door and there were all these 20-something computer dorks who looked lost out of the glow of their computer monitors, the sci-fi channel, and porn. There was even a creepy guy standing in the corner with a digital camera snapping pictures of me and "A" when he thought we didn't notice. And no I'm not being conceited- it was probably due more to the fact that apart from me, "A", and maybe 2 or 3 other random girls the place was a sausage fest of the worst kind. Normally I'd have no problem with that sort of guy to girl ratio, but as I've mentioned before: these guys were creepy, dorks, and ugly.

Not to be discouraged, "A" called some of her friends who came to pick us up and drove us to a different party. I walked in the door and was surprised that I knew the guys throwing the party- yet another brooklyn college AEPi guy and a guy I went to high school with. The party was the oddest conglomeration of people I've seen thrown together into one house- people I know from binghamton, people I know from brooklyn from the days of Roy, more of Roy's pledge and frat brothers, people I worked with, people who knew who I was even though I didn't have the slightest idea of who they were, people I know from high school- including this guy that apparently was in my grade in high school, whom I've never seen before last night {which is weird considering there were only 150 people in my grade to begin with and everyone pretty much knew everyone else at least by sight}.

Anyways it was an interesting night. The alcohol was flowing, I had drunk conversations with people all night, a fight almost broke out, and by far the funniest thing that happened all night was watching "M" run away from "A" right before the ball drop only for her to find him seconds before midnight. He was so pissed. I don't understand why she'd chase a guy that so blatantly tells her hes not interested. She found solace in "E"'s arms though. I find it kind of ironic that she always goes for my left-overs as I used to hook up with "E" awhile ago and this is like the 6th ex-hookup of mine shes hooked up with. Its actually pretty funny though because "E" just wanted ass and was acting as wingman for "M" so as to get "A" to stop chasing him all night, and afterwards he was making all these typical guy comments which I feel bad for her about because she now has found a new person to chase- yup you guessed it: "E".

Finally got home around 5:30, drunk as hell, and managed to stumble off to bed without waking up my parents. The weirdest thing is that my mom didnt mention anything about it this morning which is very uncharacteristic of her. Strange. I don't know whether to be happy or scared.

Soooooooo that was my new years. Pretty chill but I had fun.

Its 2004- Woo Hoo
