Allsion and I started our house hount this week, as neither of us can stand the confines of the dorms any longer. We had a bit of a rough start: the first house we looked at's decor was stuck somewhere in the late 70's early 80's, as was the furniture, which the landlord enthusiastically proclaimed to be "quite a piece." The correct term would have been 'antique piece of junk' that should have been thrown away decades ago.
Then we saw a dilapidated house slanting at an angle and being held up by a piece of ply wood- I shit you not, the house was literally being supported by this beam. And to top it all off the landlord was wearing an indiana jones hat, boots, drove a pickup truck and kept telling us about the rifle he was going to use to go hunting with.
But finally, we found a nice place. 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and dining room for only $460 total. The furniture is all in good condition and its carpeted- the only drawback is that it is in the BAD SIDE of binghamton- but honestly what part of binghamton isn't a shitty neighborhood? Besides I will always have a ready supply of crack and a job at the whore house down the block should I need it;)
We're trying to think of what to convert the dining room into though- my suggestion: make the dining room table into a beer pong table, add a bar, and make it the "drinking room." Other suggestions are welcome.
In other news, my computer finally crashed and I had to reload windows, so I baisically lost all the programs I had on my harddrive, which isn't so bad except that I lost all of my music =(
Oh and by the way if you are Indian, have a thick accent that noone can decipher, and don't know shit about computers Dell technical support is now hiring...
