good news and bad news

Jun 21, 2009 12:47

So since there are UNUSUAL SPRING STORMS meandering the New England coast, complete with GALE force winds, and small craft warnings (did I mention this is the smallest boat I have ever worked on?)*, and the fact that the receivers gave crappy data, we are currently back dockside with limited internet... but I would like to take the chance to report my good news. I am really flattered to report that I am this month's "Craftster Crush"! Check it out. They even mentioned Albrecht Dürer!

p.s. We did get all our equipment by 11 am on Thursday.
*1 shower for 11 people... toilets pumped by hand... AS and CS were pretty ill yesterday and I would describe the weather as "lovely" or "the calm before the storm". Nice, low-key crew addicted to NPR and Jerry Springer - an unfathomable combination. We are extremely well-fed, which helps make up for the plumbing. I feel so spoiled by having done so much research on extremely comfortable Canadian Coast Guard vessels designed for month-long arctic expeditions.
p.p.s. Did I mention we spent 10 hours outside in the driving rain on Thursday?
p.p.p.s. Happy father's day to the Dads.

The previous series of non sequiturs was brought to you by a severe sleep shortage.
