SIX ON EIGHT
Six on eight: snow. Seriously- it is so pretty and quiet out there, it makes me happy.
In other news, apparently I am going senile. After our cruise I wrote an expense report. I was dismayed to find one receipt for hardware (which I recalled was ~$700) was missing. I went through the whole process of paperwork to document the expense through my credit card statement, despite the missing receipt, and got N to come in on the weekend to sign it. Today, our new secretary (who is clever)* noticed that the amount claimed was identical to one made on an expense report I filled prior to going to sea (and had completely forgotten). I have decided that this is evidence of my need to go on vacation immediately.
Other than that, it is end-of-term marking prison camp marathon time. I'm so glad I only agreed to teach one course.
Tonight, those of us who didn't go to San Francisco are going out to dinner to celebrate the end of term. There are so few of us, we've rounded up some astronomers to come along.
*She keeps a constant supply of candy on her desk. This means that people visit her office, so she doesn't have to hunt them down like MW did.
