I hope the Easter bunny was good to you

The DJ and I managed to avoid the herring and vodka on Saturday (aka Polish Easter Take I). There are some things with which I cannot cope, first thing in the morning.* Especially when awoken by #$%& musicians at 4 am. Brunch at Dad&K's was otherwise pleasant. The DJ's K was in Montreal visiting a friend. The OB's D was in Moncton visiting her sister, who is home safely from Afghanistan. So it was me and Di and my brothers, and two of K's children, and her other step-daughters (from her first marriage) and their partners and one son (a bright 6 year old) and her first husband's Belgian niece and her American fiancé. Families are complicated these days.

Sunday was dinner at Mom's for me and the brothers. Ham, of course.

Today, my tooth is aching! It is the one which had the root canal. So the nerve is dead. So what is aching!?

Plus, we went out to outer Mississauga and got yelled at by the ornery septuagenarian again (after little sleep again last night). It's bad enough he yells at us, but I really take exception to being yelled at because he claims we didn't tell him things, which he has merely forgotten. The female electrical engineer said something cross in Chinese to another engineer. One did not need to be Chinese-speaking to deduce that she must have said something like, "Turn the damn thing [high power device] off before you go poking at it!" And the grumpy old man says (referring to me), "See. All females are alike this way, regardless of where they are from" - you know, always nagging people not to electrocute themselves. Hahaha. Cause, electrocution, it's sooooo funny. N, to his credit, said, "No, I would have said the same thing. It's damn foolish." RM, having learned his lesson, wouldn't come any closer than 30 cm.

*Fish- could not cope with this for breakfast even when living in Japan. Especially herring. I HATE kippers and whole-heartedly support the 2nd Cook on the C.C.G.S. Tully who told N in no uncertain terms that he wasn't having any #$%& kippers stinking up his kitchen.

job, science, easter, fish, family, friends
