Here in the Northern Hemisphere, the days are going to get longer as of tomorrow, and that is worth celebrating!
Yesterday, I began my day by wiping out on the ice at Howard Park & Parkside. I flew into the air and landed on my -now swollen- ankle. I ended the day with a root canal. In the middle I had to explain to yet another engineer that "We can give you a two week extension" does not mean that two MONTHS is acceptable (what, exactly is it with these engineers and their complete lack of respect for deadlines anyway?). Luckily, I had a nice coffee break with
credjeep and
lwinling who are in from Chicago.
Today, I am playing phone tag with MR in Montreal (and it is beginning to become comical... as we keep missing one another by about 30 seconds). But other than that, I think I'll just try to wrap things up before they turn off the heat and head out of here for a couple of weeks.
I think I shall try to convince
faunalia that we should go see the Festival in Kensington and not go too low key on the solstice celebrations. It's nice to mark the occasion.
