My grandmother, 88 and somewhat senile, fell Sunday morning and broke her hip. She is in the hospital for a hip replacement.
My cousin Sam, 25 and intelligent, is still lying in the ICU of Rhode Island Hospital, unable to move most of his body or talk because of the ventilator.
