A/N: Oh why not. I should have been sleeping two hours ago, and yet, here I am. A certain minor character's first name is borrowed from the fanon of the ever-lovely westwardlee.
Viktor's mind races in the darkness of the maze - an Inferius stumps towards him. It staggers blindly, its face a horrible version of his best friend - his teammate Ivanova. Mastering his fear, he tries the "Riddikulus" spell. It works. He knows there won't be anything that dangerous during the final task - will there?
Vowing to eschew this detail when he sees Bisera in the living, he forges onward. The bush rustles to his right; the next thing he knows is pure, floating happiness. He is without a care in the world. He knows he must find Cedric...
