TO HAVE HIM BACK
“So this is where he died.” Regulus was in awe at the peace of the place. “Where’s the arch?”
“Gone.” Remus answered simply. “It had been there so long that no-one could even tell me why it was there. I demolished it and found this…”
He pointed to a few words in Ancient Latin that looked like they’d been there as long as the stones had.
Regulus deciphered the words for ‘blood’ and ‘dark’. Other words were either too worn or he couldn’t translate them.
“What’s it got to do with me?”
“Roughly translated I think it means the same blood will bring him back.”
“From the dead?” Regulus shook his head, suddenly afraid for his life. “No, that’s impossible.”
“What if he’s not dead? What if he’s in some sort of limbo?
Regulus pointed to the words. “What does ‘dark’ refer to?”
“I think that’s a name for where he is.”
“Sirius hates the dark.”
“I know.”
Remus reached into his robes, pulling out a knife.
“I don’t want to kill you Regulus but I don’t know what it will take… And you have to know I’ll do anything to get him out of there… to have him back.”
