“How do you suppose it all ended?”
“I’d say the bad guys lost. If they’d won I think we’d have heard about it.”
Rabastan traced Regulus’ Dark Mark. “They haven’t burned for a week or so now.”
Nodding, Regulus clasped his lover’s hand. “And you’d have certainly been called back.” He looked out over the ocean toward the horizon where the sun was setting serenely. “There’s nothing to stop us going back now.”
Indicating their Dark Marks, Rabastan snorted. “Only them. I think even the new and benevolent regime would slap us right into Azkaban.”
“Let’s just stay right here.”
