Opening his eyes, he saw Rabastan in the doorway.
“Come in, the Healer’s almost done, just one little thing left.” Regulus smiled and motioned for Rabastan to sit with him.
As soon as he sat down, Regulus took his hand, threading their fingers. He didn’t mind if the Healer saw, he seemed understanding and trustworthy.
“Here you go, drink this.” The Healer handed Regulus a vial of green liquid. Regulus did as he was told, contorting his face at the disgusting taste. “Yes, it tastes awful but will help with the pain.”
The Healer went to work on Regulus’ ribs.
