Went to ze dentist today.
I have a fear of needles. But not just any needles. Only at the dentist, really. Other ones, I can handle - I mean, I get freaked out, but generally I manage to control myself. Needles at the dentist, however, just freak me the fuck out.
In fact, once when we were in Italy and I had to have some work done that required working around the nerve/drilling/&c, I refused to be numbed up, just to avoid the needles.
It hurt like fucking hell.
I mean, a lot. And it took forever. Forty-five minutes of excruciating pain. So, since then, I've allowed the needles, but omg. I always visualize it going in. And imagine all sorts of nasty images.
Ugh. Needles.
