Notes: This will be the fourth character in the PreDesu campaign, equivalent to Ellen Kurokawa from Suite PreCure.
Background: Seiren's background has a number of spoilers for PreDesu canon and has been sent to the mod journal.
Personality: Seiren is a silent-type and as such is normally cool and collected. It takes a lot for her to become upset or lose her cool. Whenever she becomes upset or is about to lose her cool, she stalks off and will prefer to be left alone. During this time, while Seiren is more vulnerable than normal but she is also more on edge and can be more confrontational.
Seiren is a social recluse and doesn’t like to talk to people unless it is on official business or can’t be avoided. As such her social skills are absolutely horrible. She has training that makes her more than capable of delivering orders and even giving moral boosts to people but put her in an actual conversation and she falls flat. As such, even in normal conversations, she will take up an official and calculative attitude. However, deep down Seiren does want to be part of the picture and does attempt to be part of the group as she has so rarely been really a part of one. This is the real reason she has studied music and modeling, to help her be more outgoing as she has seen how popular singers and models can be and hoped to use this to aid her in her quest.
Seiren can be quite vain from time to time. This comes not only from her knowledge of her looks but her piloting abilities and strength. Seiren openly recognizes her abilities and is quite proud about them. Due to her own feels of superiority, Seiren very rarely becomes envious of anyone but when she does it comes in spades.
It very rarely rears its’ head but Seiren does have a soft side. Once someone grows on her she is more likely to open up to them and even help them through problems. However, even when she is close to someone she gets very nervous about opening up or helping them. This causes her to take up several tsundere qualities.
Seiren has a very interesting relationship with her AI, HUMMY. Their personalities clash once in a while due to the fact that HUMMY is, for the lack of a better word, a derp. She is extremely carefree to the point of almost immediately forgetting sad moments and child-like naivety. HUMMY is also fiercely loyal to Seiren and do everything in her power to make Seiren happy and though Seiren isn’t likely to admit it, HUMMY is the one she sees as most precious to her. HUMMY is also the only one she lets see her more vulnerable side and can easily open up to.
Capabilities and Resources: Seiren has several resources that she can call on. She has experience in piloting, specifically in piloting the Desu units. She has a great sense of fashion, can model, and can also play the guitar and sing. Seiren can fight in hand to hand combat and is unusually agile. She also has the ability to shape shift into a cat.
Robot Name: PreDesu Series Operation Unit Agito-Desu 03: Ellen
Robot Description: Three years before construction was complete on the first Claimer-class units, Yuri and Dark, a series of somewhat different units was developed and fielded: the Agito-class. Designed with music as a theme, the first two units were tempermental and really only functioned with their pilots were in sync. Aside from those, however, two others were developed. The first of these additional units was Ellen. Ellen benefited from the lessons learned in the development and use of the first two Agito machines, Hibiki and Kanade, and was designed to be a little more independent, though it was extremely strong used in concert with the other machines.
Ellen's construction prioritizes speed and power over defense; it rarely stays in one place for long, mostly because getting hit is a big problem. It's equipped with an AI, HUMMY, that acts as a companion to Ellen's pilot... or would, if it weren't programmed to be hilariously naive. Like the other PreDesu units, HUMMY also channels Seiren's emotions into power for Ellen's abilities. Ellen is also equipped with a thrusters for flight; Ellen in particular can fly somewhat faster than the Claimer-class units, though as usual, not for long.
Ellen's unique build continues to its weapon: rather than the short staves Hibiki and Kanade prefer, Ellen is equipped with the Love Guitar Rod, a... well, guitar-like staff. It features a sliding body that changes it from a largely functional guitar to a axe-like weapon, and is capable of physical attacks in the axe form. In the axe form, it also can fire the Ellen Crescendo, sending out a ring of energy that binds a single target, and can be detonated at range. Outside of this manuver, it can also perform the Ellen Sonic, an attack that generates projectiles in the shape of musical notes that fly like arrows before detonating, and the Ellen Barrier, a non-reactive shield ability. These work best when the Love Guitar Rod is equipped.
Like all PreDesu units, Ellen is equipped with the Hold HANDS system, which allows various units to work together to perform powerful team attacks, even among units of different classes. It can also equip the Tone Wings, a set of bright wings that improves the flight capabilities of the unit substantially.
