Firefox

I do this once every few months or so. It usually never lasts more than a couple of weeks. It's tough, and there's no real reason behind my wanting to do it. I just am.

I'm going to try switching from Safari to Firefox.

You may be asking yourself, "why?" Or, more likely, "why should I care?" I'll tell you why (but not why you should care). As a Mac user, I'm addicted to Safari. It's lean, it's fast, it renders pages beautifully, it's as close to totally compliant as you can get, and it's built in. Firefox, on the other hand can be a bit sluggish, but it has awesome extensions by the truckload.

I figure I should give it a shot now that it's hit 2.0, so I've downloaded the latest release. I've outfitted myself with Adblock, Greasemonkey, Fission, and a few other handy extensions. I'm out to see if it can dethrone Safari. So far, the closest I've come to giving up Safari for everyday use is due to Shiira. Maybe Firefox 2.0 can do better.

I'll keep you updated...
