Homeless d00ds

The other day Danielle and I were walking down the steps at the Union Square station, and when we reached the bottom we saw a pizza box laying there on the platform.

But something foul was afoot.

This pizza box was open and had very nearly half a pizza inside. Half a pizza is a good thing, but this one had clearly shattered the five second rule, so I--being a rationally thinking human being--thought nothing more of it.

Until a homeless guy (I'm hoping he was actually homeless, anyway) bounded down the steps, stooped down and sniffed at it, then proceeded to close it up, clutch it to his chest as one might do with a baby, or something equally more important than a half eaten floor pizza.

That alone would have been enough entertainment for one evening, but then this guy gets on the train behind us and proceeds to beg the entire car for food DESPITE the fact that he was already clutching a bigger dinner than I had.

pizza, subway, nyc, homeless
