(no subject)
Well I'm officially certified in CPR and First Aid. Yay. It wasn't such a waste of a day afterall. The people from the Red Cross seemed to get lost today and showed up about an hour late. So we got to sit around and eat yummy donuts for about an hour. And I did learn a few things today but since I didn't know much about any of the first aid/CPR stuff, I went in there feeling like an idiot. But hey, not everyone can know everything, so I have to be an idiot at something...lol. Like, maybe it's just my family and people I know...but usually when people get nose bleeds they tell you to tilt your head back...when in fact you should tilt it forward. And I guess it has been since high school since I've learned CPR. But for some reason I was under the impression that the chest compressions were supposed to somehow help get the heart beating again, when in fact it is just to keep the blood circulated until help arrives. And I didn't know that CPR alone rarely saves someone's life. Eh, everyone else probably already knew that stuff, but hey, at least now I know and can join the rest of the educated world! :-P
