Done!!!

So I'm finally done! All of my classes finished on April 28th, and my finals finished on May 6th. So I'm finally free! :-D I've been spending my days since then relaxing, but I guess I should actually start trying to pack up (though, since I have nothing to pack the stuff in, it is a little difficult!). Last Thursday night was our MAC end of year event, which was alright. We were a bit disappointed that so few of our faculty showed up. But were really appreciative of those that did come. Also, we were promised cocktails, and we definately got rhaspberry tea instead (not that I was disappointed, but the tea was pretty gross!). We also each got a present from the program, which was a Jefferson Cup with the W&M crest engraved on one side and MAC class of 2005 engraved on the other. I haven't opened mine yet because I wrappped all 30 some of them that were in the box, and it took forever, so I figured I'd enjoy my wrapping job for a while. That event was in the middle of my finals on the worst possible date, so I had to leave and go study. I had my last final last friday morning, which I'm a little concerned about because he seemed to ask questions that I really didn't expect. That grade hasn't popped up on the system yet. Then on Saturday we did one of the coolest things ever! We went up to Richmond to the Byrd theater to see Million Dollar Baby. And the movie was really good, but a bit emotionally draining. But the coolest part was the exerpience. Byrd theater is one of those old theaters that they used to show silent films in. And they have kept it in its original conditions with all the fancy stuff on the walls, including painted ceilings, etc. But it gets even better. They have a pipe organ concert before their Saturday night shows. So instead of watching previews, an organ and its player rises up from the floor and puts on a organ concert and a light show at the same time. Then when its time to start the movie, they lower him back down. It was really neat. Apparently he changes his music with the seasons. He did a bit of patriotic stuff when we went, but during the summer he does a lot of baseball type themes, and at Christmas time it is Christmas carols. So I was very impressed. I spent Saturday morning and Sunday shopping, but didn't really get much. I found a gorgeous dress, but it's more of a mature formal looking dress, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do with that. Then on Monday, I had a luncheon with all of the people in the MAC/BBA suite at A. Carrolls. It was a cute little restaurant, but the service wasn't the greatest. But we found out that there was only one waitress taking care of the whole restaurant because the other one called in sick. So that's explainable. The highlight of the lunch was when the dean got all excited and was using his hands to speak and knocked his glass of water all over the table in my direction. They thought it was amusing because it went between Chris and I and they had just given me a graduation present which was in an envelope in front of me. And that was the first thing I grabbed when it went over. LOL. I didn't know what was in it at the time, but it was a card with a $50 Barnes and Noble gift certificate which was so nice! They had already given me a $30 Wawa gift card for helping out at an open house. It seems rather strange that they keep giving me all of this, when I was just working for them for the year. Last night I worked on getting some more of these announcements out. Today, I'll probably finish up the announcements, do some laundry, start packing and work some more on my cross stitch. I finally have begged, borrowed and pleaded for enough graduation tickets for commencement on Sunday, so I'm thrilled about that. I was only allowed 5, but now I have 10, so I'm all set! :-D Well, that's my update for now...
