Master's Graduation Attire...

I just returned from the bookstore with my graduation gown...$60 for that thing...and I would have thought it would have come with a tassel...but apparently not...so who knows what ungodly price they will charge me for that! But I do have to say, it wasn't free, but it is a lot nicer than the ones at FSU...so at least I can see a little bit of value in it. Although I must say, the goal of a masters graduation attire set is to make you look silly! First of all, the sleeves are the strangest thing I've ever seen. I knew they were pointed for Masters, but these aren't just pointed, they are boxed! And there is only a tiny little hole for your arm. Then the hood is the strangest combination of materials...there is the velvet part that has my degrees color...an ugly brown i might addd...then there is a material that they make mens basketball shorts out of that have the school colors....the green is pretty, but i've never been a fan of yellow...and then there is the non shiny black material that the gown is made out of. It's pretty strange in my opinion. And you know I couldn't go buy the gown and all without immediately coming back here to try the silly thing on! O:-)

Well...now I must go back out to Wal-Mart to get ingredients for banana nut bread that I'm going to make. I have some bananas that are going rotten, and those are the best kind for banana bread cause they are really mushy...so I figured I'd make some. I'm not sure what I'll do with two pans of it...maybe I'll give some to my classmates or something...
