Hello Dearies!
Ok, so things thus far that have made my thanksgiving break comical... or that i choose to make comical b/c, damn it, i need laughter that warms the soul.
1. Quotes from my Great Aunt Louise
a. This one was in reference to my little cousin Erica who is in 2nd grade and is loosing some of her teeth
Me: "So Aunt Louise, can i stop by later today and see the kids?"
Louise: "Of course! The kids have gotten so big and well, Erica, well she has lost some teeth... yeah that doesnt really add to her beauty..."
Me: "Oh, well... im sorry to hear that??"
Loiuse: "Yeah well, what can you do?"
b. "You know, the only 'ideal' profession for a woman is to be a teacher."
-Good ole aunt Louise again, this time telling me what i should be when i grow up, and then promptly leaving the room to go back to the kitchen in her high heals b/c she has to look good on any occasion. Gee thanks Aunt Louise, i will keep that in mind...
2.Talked with my mom last night, so apparently Jim Newlan AND his mom might be "celebrating" thanksgiving with us... haha... really mom? are you TRYING to top all of the dysfunational thanksgivings we've had this far?
3. Other misadventures include getting a flat tire while on my way to going out to eat...
4. Realizing that the hour that i spent, ( rather my dad, -i was just the spare-tire-changer-cheerleader) changing the tire was a bit pointless b/c the spare that i had was also flat. (yeah- i just feel like i should have seen that one coming.)
5. Literally driving 10mph with my hazard lights on to the nearest "air station" which was a good 3 mi. away, and fearing that the grim reaper would pop up in my rear view mirror at any moment. No worries though, im alive... or am i? (haha -i need to go to bed!)
No worries though, there are some quite good things like my dog, old friend Erin, my sister Jenny, RENT!!!!, and sleeping in
for those of yall that might care, my family really isnt that bad, its just we have never been able to figure out thanksgiving.
good times!
I love yall dearly!
later gaters!
-k
