Hello dearies!
ok, so it has literally been months since my last update... ive got progressively lazier as the semester went on.
Lets see, what's going on im my life right now...
1. My mom bought a house!!! this is very exciting news except that I have to go home and do that packing thing...eekk
2. My mom has told me that once again she has broken up with Jim Newland. Im exctied b/c he is a douche bag...but i have a feeling that they might get back together... AGAIN. When I went home this past weekend I saw them on Friday together and they were in a deep discussion about their relationship. Saturday, my mom tells me that he decided he wanted to take a break, but Saturday night when we came back from a party, there was a huge boquet of flowers waiting for her on the porch. I think my mom finally realized that he fucks with her head and thats not cool (specifically b/c she said "He is fucking with my head!")Haha, my mom said "fuck". On a side note, my cursing has totally rubbed of on my mom, and its kind of funny.
3. I am taking Introduction to Women's Studies and Gender Studies at UNCG and I am excited about the class if I can manage to get registered. Our first class was today and only 7 people were there so it is going to be a close group. The professor is totally cool too so im excited.
4. my internship at the Weatherspoon is awesome. today, I was condition reporting this really old etching that they have. There is no information on anything about the artist or the print because the writing was pratically illegible but I figured it out. Turns out, the arist was Hungarian and there a few web sites about him. I was so proud of myself and in one of the web sites I found the exact print that is at the Weatherspoon, and even better, with a price listed. Now, the last time the price of the print was undated was back in 1966 or something like that and it was 50 dollars back then, so I was erally excited to see how much it was going for. I was hoping that I had made a discovery on a really expensive piece that had been lost in the vault for years but when I did the currency rate thing, I found that the print on the web was being sold for all of .13 cents. Yeah, that kind of made me feel like my job is a bit worthless -haha- like the print -haha- but I still love mty job.
Thats it for now. I love yall dearly and I hope yall have a great day! And a side note to the ladies in Gboro- we need to party this weekend.
later gater
