“Maybe Alina and I should leave now,” Taemin attempted to say. He was about to leave, but the other SHINee boys would not shift. “What about your friend Nicole?” This blond kid was really trying to trouble Taemin and me. Finally realizing what I had to do, “She’s coming with us.” I added a sigh while saying, “You wouldn’t think I would leave my best friends her all alone.” Suddenly the one identified as ‘Key’ had a grin on his face, “Well, my schedule is open which means you wouldn’t mind me coming along. I mean it’s not like you and Taeminnie were going on a date.” Key was smirking, delighted with his new scheme. I saw Taemin hang his head, “Yea, not a date at all,” he said through his teeth.

“Well, I guess our work here is done,” said Jonghyun,” there’s no need of our service!” He quickly shoved Key into my hotel room and closed the door before anyone could say another sound. I bit my lip, not wanting to reveal any plans of murdering a blonde. “Anyways,” Key said trying to break the silence, “Should we leave now?” We all nodded and headed toward the door, and to the entrance of the hotel. Soon enough, we were in a normal blue Toyota Rav4, heading to Hosu Park.

It was truly quiet in the car; we had just met each other, so what was there to talk about? Suddenly a plan popped into my mind, “Question time! We barely know each other, so who wants to start?” I waited for someone to raise their hand, or at least move, but nothing happened. “Ok, let’s start tiny. What’s your favorite color?” Key and Taemin looked at each other with eyes of puzzlement. “Well our favorite color is baby blue. I sighed, “Honestly? Pretend like you aren’t even apart of the band. Be yourself.” A smiled instantly showed up on Key’s face, “Well, I honestly like neon colors.” His voice was showing excitement of a child. “That’s great, so do I,” I said in a voice of pure sarcasm. No offense to Key, but I obviously wanted to know about Taemin, not him. Key turned to look outside the window, not wanting to interrupt me anymore. Ha, I win.

My best friend said, trying to change the subject, “What do you like to do in your spare time?” Rolling my eyes, I whispered, “Now she speaks.” Nicole has such timing; always having to bump in at the wrong time. Taemin was probably the only one who caught my comment and tried to something about it. “Maybe you and Key should play your own question time, and Alina and I will play a separate question game.” A smirk was soon painted on my face; of course he’d do this. Nicole seemed pretty content with the idea; considering the fact, she was nodding her head like crazy. However there was one little problem, they order in which we were sitting. In a row sat Nicole, me, Taemin, and Key. Now how Key and I were going to switch without it being awkward? No way is possible.

“So I guess,” I stood in the moving car, and started to move. I stood over Taemin, “and now you go behind me.” Key’s face finally lifting, realized the situation. “But I’m comfortable here,” he so called complained. He was enjoying every second I had to stand over Taemin, with my hands above Taemin’s shoulders; my face inches away from his.

I could practically feel Taemin’s heated face radiating onto mine. I turned my head to look at Key, eyes full of hatred. “Fine, fine,” he finally said, waving a hand up and down at me. He started to lift his body, but stopped and plainly smirked at me. “You’re going to have to get closer, I’m not that skinny.” I swear I’m going to be the cause of this little diva’s death. He wants this, so he’ll get it. “You want me to get closer, huh?” He plainly smiled at me and nodded like a toddler. I smiled back and placed a kiss on Taemin’s forehead, feeling him heat up even more. “Is that close enough for me,” I questioned with satisfaction. From the corner of my eye, I say Key get up slowly and move to the other side.

As I sat down on the window seat, I realized Taemin was still a little surprised. Trying to break this awkwardness, I said “Never mess with a girl like me.” I crossed my arms across my chest and smiled. He still didn’t budge. I waved my hand in front of Taemin’s face trying to get his attention, “Taemin, come back to Earth please.” Realizing he had blanked out on me, he blushed a little while saying, “I’m sorry, I kind of just…mm’yea.” His cheeks were still rosy red. “Wow, you’re not used to even a little kiss on the forehead?”

I kept looking at him, wanting to get the smallest response. Taemin just stared back at me, looking confused at my statement. Now it’s time to play with his mind a little, “Just wait until we get closer,” I said with a smirk, honestly just wanting to see Taemin’s reaction. He blushed furiously while I giggled a little; guys can be so cute sometimes! His now red face was still staring at me with wide eyes. Sighing I said, “Anyways, how’s life?” I least I was trying to start a conversation. But Taemin was making it harder every second with his coffee colored eyes looking at me like an infant; his cheeks blushing every moment, and how he was always hanging his head letting his reddish-brown twisted hair fall trying to cover his embarrassment.

He plainly looked at his feet and started, “It’s pretty tiring, but nor--,” but then I turned my gaze outside the window, looking at Korea’s loveliness. Cherry blossom trees all over the place, not a cloud in the baby blue sky; it was perfect. Realizing Taemin had stopped talking, I turned my head to look at my hands, my thumbs switching back and forth, “I know this is random, but I kind of wish I had my camera.” Maybe he was interested in photography? As long as it starts some kind of talk, I’m ok with it. Taemin looked at me with eyes of confusion, “You’re a photographer?” I stared at his eyes, looking to find any sign of sarcasm. “You honestly don’t know me do you? Ok then, Time to take a deep breath for story time.

“Let’s see, I grew up in Georgia, but I’m Hispanic. Surprising, huh? I’m from Costa Rica. I wrote a little in middle school then went to dance. Then I went from dancing to acting, but I still write random crap every once in a while. I love photography, particularly black and white pictures. I really think they enhance the beauty of everything.”

I guess that’s enough for now. Before I could even say another word, I saw a flash and heard Taemin laugh, “Surprise?” In one of Taemin’s hands was an obviously old Polaroid camera; the ones that instantly print the pictures you take. In his other hand was a close-up picture of me. “It’s rare to get a picture of me Taemin. I’m usually behind the camera not in front.” I took the picture and examined it a little; it wasn’t that bad of a picture. My body was facing Taemin, but my face covered by my bangs and looking at my entwined hands. “Even a good picture, you better treasure that will all your heart.” Giving the picture back to Taemin, the others came back to reality. “We’re here,” Key sang with excitement clearly in his voice.

We all exited the car one by one; every one of us taking a nice breath of fresh air, as Key walked in front of us. “Welcome ladies and Taemin to Hosu Park! This park has a beautiful bicycle trail around the heavenly Hosu Lake and,” he looked around, “what a coincidence! There’s a Baskin Robbins right there! Why don’t we all go get some yummy frozen yogurt?” By the look in his eye, you could tell he had set the date here just for the ice cream, what a little kid. Taemin shook his head, letting his curly auburn hair fall in his eyes. Soon enough, we were all sitting at a table, eating vanilla and chocolate swirl frozen yogurts as the silence was eating us. Nicole nudged me a little trying to get my attention and winked, here we go.

Nicole started, “Since this is going no where,” you could see Taemin flinch at the sound of his date being dull, “we have a fun little game to play.” She turned to me signaling me to finish the instructions to hell’s game. “Let’s see who can act the most….gayest?” It was a pretty smart idea, but after doing the same thing after every double date; it was getting plain bothersome. Taemin looked at Key with eyes full of despair, while Key plainly questioned, “Now how are we going to rate who’s the gayest?” Us girls took a sigh and rolled our eyes, “We’ll take a picture and compare them, as simple as that.”

Key leaned back in his chair, putting his hands behind his head, while Taemin’s eyes still had doubt. “Now what’s the catch?” Shrugging, Nicole bluntly said, “Something simple, like having to buy lunch where the winners pick.” She paused for a little, and put a big smile on her face, “Since you two look so excited, why don’t you go first?” Having no other option than to leave; they got up from their seats gradually and uncomfortably. Before Taemin had left, he looked at me with eyes of an abandoned puppy, “Do we honestly have to do this?” It was hard to resist him, but trying to sound excited I said, “Yes, now get your camera, look gay, and take a picture!” Apparently my enthusiasm worked, and both guys went to shoot their picture.

After the boys were out of our view, I quickly went to sit next to Nicole. To which she started, “You know the bit. We take an average picture, so they win. Then we have to pay for the lunch, if Taemin cares enough for you, he will insist on him paying.” Did you honestly think we’d just play a little game? Nope, we’re girls; there’s always a twist. Sighing I said, “I honestly don’t see the point-OW, God Dammit, Nicole! Are you trying to break my leg or something?”

Rubbing my shin from being kicked in mid-sentence, I looked up and spotted Key and Taemin running back. When they arrived, Nicole got up and immediately started saying something about the lake. This is where Nicole gets their attention, so I can take a look at their picture. Yes, we were cheating, but how were we supposed to lose when we don’t even know what the picture looked like? Finally spotting the picture, I grabbed Nicole’s wrist and ran to a water fountain. “Ok, I’m guessing someone else took their picture. It had the lake in the background, and Key was holding Taemin’s face in one hand and his hand in the other.” They must really want to win to go that far, or maybe one of them is gay? Key didn’t seem timid about the game, maybe he’s-“Say cheese!” Nicole interrupting my thoughts, grabbed my arm and made me get closer for a picture. She held the camera in front of us and with a quick flash; we were running back to Baskin Robbins.

Sitting down in front of the guys, we quickly put our picture on the table, “Now let’s see yours!” Blushing a little, Taemin put said picture on the table, “You promise to never make me play this game with a true homosexual.” So I was right? Key had his arms crossed over his chest and plainly shrugged, “My love for Onew can’t be masked. Plus I can act, so this picture is nothing compared to what I do--” “Anyways!” Thank you Nicole for saving what I have left of my innocence…that is if I still have any.

Poor Taemin, he had to play this game with Key. Trying to change the subject, I said “So where do you guys want to eat?” Yay, his face came back to his creamy color. “There’s a Chinese restaurant some where around here,” he started looking around to find it. But Key demanded something else, “I’m kind of in the mood for chicken!” Taemin buried his face in his hands, “or we could go to KFC.” While Key heard Taemin, his eyes widened, “Taeminnie, did you just hear what I said? I’m starting to sound like Jinki!” He covered his wide open mouth, “Did I just insult him?” I plainly laughed at Key’s idiocy and at the sight of Taemin being over-ruled. Taemin shrugged at Key, “Maybe you should call him Kibum; it sounds like you’re missing him.”

Key’s eyes lit up and he dragged all of us in a huddling circle, and pulled his cell phone out. From where the rest of us were, we could here a deep ‘hello?’ “Minho! Can you pass the phone to Jinki please?” Key added a pout like Minho was here talking to him. I heard a little arguing about why he didn’t just call Onew’s phone then Key telling him he forgot to charge it last night, so it’s dead. That’s not being a stalker at all.

After a moment of Key tapping his foot impatiently with his hand on his hip, his eyes lit up again,
“Jinki!

Mhm?

How are you, baby?

Good.

Did you go straight to bed after you left and just now wake up?

Mhmm.

You sound a little tired.

I am.

Jinki, its one thirty, get up!”

I heard a long drawn out sigh and a little bit of rustling before hearing them continue,
“Ok, I’m up.

Ok, we’re about to go eat at KFC, do you want anything?”

So this is why we’re calling Onew, just to bring him lunch. Key is such a girl to interrupt this whole date, just to call his little Jinki. Suddenly, I saw Key take the phone away from his ear. Coming back to reality, I realized some one was screaming something; then I heard Onew say ‘someone wants to talk to you.’

“HI KIBUM!

HI JJONG!

I’m hungry, too! Just ask Onew if he’s hungry, I see how it is! And to think that you were my best friend, what the hell was I thinking?

I was gonna ask Jinki if you guys wanted anything!

Excuses, excuses. Can you bring me some chicken, please? I shall love you forever and ever. Plus I’ll let you use those condoms I got as a graduation pres-OW! ONEW DON’T HIT ME! KIBUM!! YOUR BOYFRIEND JUST HIT ME!

Jjong! You realize that not only Taemin can hear this, but so can Nicole and Alina! Jinki, smack him for all I care.

Shit! Cover the babies' ears and save their innocence before I continue! DAMMIT ONEW! STOP IT.

Kim Kibum always wins. Now ask Minho if he wants chicken…Wait what flavor are they?

Minho isn’t answering, because he’s mad at you for wasting his minutes. He’ll probably be hungry after working out though. Oh and one little question, how come I get smacked for bringing up this and you don’t get hit for asking what flavor they are? And I have a variety of flavors, Kibum.

…It’s ok; I’ll get smacked by Onew, if you know what I mean. SAVE THE STRAWBERRY FOR ME. Tell Jinki that I love him. Oh, I LOVE YOU TWO KIM JONGHYUN! Mkkays, bye!

Jinki says I love you darling. At least cover your fish tank, so Bubbles doesn’t have to witness some porno. I swear, the last time your fish, Pikachu, died; you were walking weird that day. HE FUCKED YOU DIDN’T HE--OW ONEW STOP IT--YOU HORNY LITTLE BUNNIES! Disgusting Kim Kibum, but I LOVE YOU, THREE. ”

Key hanged up the phone with a smile on his face. All innocence, all of it, is gone. It seemed Taemin was used to this, because he plainly said, “Should we leave now?” He does have to live in the same house with them, so he gets the whole thing live.

After that audio porn show, we all headed to the grease smelling restaurant. Oh shit, I forgot something. Key, Nicole, and Taemin all took a step in, while I slowly walked in after them as a little cough escaped from my mouth making Nicole and Taemin look at me. “Sorry, I’m not very…fond of greasy food,” I tried to say after every little cough. Nicole then smacked her forehead like she was forgetting something, “Alina is practically allergic to this stuff! It’s the health freak in her!” “I am not a health freak,” I attempted to say, but squeaked it instead. Taemin walked around Key and Nicole to me, “Well, fried chicken isn’t my favorite either.” Bullshit. He put his arm around me, guiding me towards the door. ‘Maybe we should go somewhere else?” Not even waiting for an answer, Taemin tugged me out of the fast food restaurant, with his arm around my waist and my arm holding my other.

“I’m really not that hungry,” Taemin finally said after standing there in silence for a while. He’s a boy; he is too hungry. He just doesn’t want to eat in front of me. I have gone out so many times to figure out the simple things of a boy mind. Yet they still confuse me so. I simply rolled my eyes at him, “How about we go rent a bike for the trail?” Korea is such a strange place. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a place where you can rent a bike, and I travel a lot. We both walked over to something that looked like a ticket booth. “2 Junior bikes for an hour please,” said Taemin through the window. The lady on the other side gave us two tickets and said ‘Have a nice day.’ “Ok, now where do we get our bikes?” I guess I should’ve looked in front of me before asking that question. We were standing in front of a shack that was labeled ‘Junior Bicycles’. We entered the shack and went down a couple of aisles before Taemin stopped in front of two bikes, “Here they are.” He got onto a moon blue bicycle and signaled me to get onto an electric green one.

It must’ve been a while since I rode a bike, because it felt really awkward. We rode around for a couple of minutes, finally adjusting to riding a bike, Taemin interrupted the beauty of silence, “So, a health freak, huh?” I came to a complete stop and looked as his flowing hair came to a stop a couple of feet in front of me. “Since when was that a bad thing?” “When did I say it was a bad thing?” He was still facing away from me. Thank God of it, I was nearly painted pink. He didn’t mention it being a bad thing, but it sounded like it. I started riding the bike again to get where he was. Right next to him, I confessed, “Maybe I am a little of a health freak?” He plainly shrugged and rode off. Now this was going to be a hard guy to figure out.

After that little discussion, we just rode our bikes, letting the wind blow through our hair, just escaping the city for a vacation in nature. We went for another lap when we saw Nicole and Key outside of the fenced area waving their hands like crazy. “Now you see us?” Nicole’s cheeks were rosy pink probably from screaming at us so much. Maybe taking a bike ride really does take you to another world. “Well when you’re riding a bike, you might want to pay attention to where you’re going and not anywhere else,” I said with sarcasm clearly in my voice.

I loved messing with Nicole, and her reactions were always the best. Like right now, she was mocking me with her hand of her hip and the other making random hand movements. Key climbed up on the fence and sat on it, “I’m too full to go get a bike.” He put a pout on his face and complained, “Can we go somewhere else?” Key is such a little girl, no other words to describe him. Taemin held up one finger to Key and dragged me to the shack again. We went down the same aisles and put the bikes back in their previous spot, and went to the ticket booth. Giving the tickets back to the lady behind the window, Taemin said, “We only stayed here for half an hour instead of one.” He handed her  3000 won to her and said, "Keep the change."

“Maybe we should find the others, so we can head home.” Did that sound like I wanted to go home? Maybe, but Key was complaining too. But maybe that sounded like I cared about Key more than him. He did have a little pout on his face, maybe I could make it up to him. “So,” I went to his side and grabbed his hand, “Did you…um…have fun?” So, my mind went blank. Well I guess it was worth it since I saw him blush and smile a little. He opened his mouth to say something, but no words came out. Was he really that nervous? He then spotted Key and ran to him. Um, I feel rejected…From what I can see from over here, it looks like they’re arguing? Taemin just dove for Key’s bag; he found chicken, which is probably for the others, and he took something else out and said ‘ha’. Yea, I have no clue what that is. Now he’s running back to me. Crossing my arms, I put a frown on my face. “I’m sorry! I kind of just had this idea. Do you want to help me?” He looked at me with puppy eyes as I whispered an ‘I guess.’ He then got his camera from behind his back, so that’s what he took out from Key’s bag. “Ok, I need to…Key!” He then ran off again, this time bringing me along. He quickly handed the camera to Key and pleaded, “Can you please take a tiny simple picture?” Dear Lord, please tell me Taemin is not a scrapbooker. Amen.

He dragged me a few feet back and turned me around. Holding one of my hands, he caressed my cheek with the other. All the while, he was inches away from my face. Talk about déjà-vu, and then Key interrupted, “Ok, enough love, go Taemin. We’ll be waiting in the car.” Pissed off at Key for ruining the heavenly moment, I said,

“Enough love? This is all coming from the guy who killed his fish by fucking his boyfriend.”

“We didn’t kill Pikachu! He was getting sick before that!”

“Yea, getting sick of you guys getting closer and closer until BAM. Bye-bye strawberry. He saw some things he didn’t want to see.”

“…”

“See, Kim Kibum doesn’t always win.”

He hung his head in total defeat. Realizing that Nicole was tugging at my arm, I finally turned around. She stared at me with surprised eyes as we started walking towards the car. Her eyes were asking me so many questions. Why did you just say that? What is Taemin doing? What did you and Taemin do? What’s going to happen next? I could only stare back; I didn’t know the answers. The blue Toyota Rav 4 then came into view. Slowly packing into the car, Key told the chauffeur to wait for Taemin.

After listening to Get Down by SHINee and teasing Key about every line he rapped, we finally saw Taemin running with a big grin on his face. He opened the car door and hopped in, “Ok, we’re all here and ready!” Nicole and I both stared at each other confused again, what did he do?

Once we had left the park, the mood went from confused to energetic with SHINee girl in the background. It was a bouncy song. And with Key and Taemin singing every part, it made it even more entertaining. I couldn’t help but smile at the fact that whenever Taemin sang ‘SH-SH-SHINee Girl’ he looked straight at me. That soon changed since “The Name’ came on, and Key wanted us to all be quiet, so he could hear his lover’s voice. Then it changed from ‘The Name’ to “Y.O.U.’ which made me go back to the dreamy mood. Before we could even finish the song, it stopped on one of Jonghyun’s solos, and we had arrived at the hotel. We led them to our room for our final good-byes.

I turned to Key while Nicole said good-bye to Taemin. Key started, “It was really nice meeting you. Well actually…” I scoffed at him and punched him on his shoulder. “I’m just kidding! Can’t take a joke, huh?” He hugged me like I was his child and patted my head. I then heard a girly scream come from him. Oops, did I accidently just kick him?

Smirking and fixing my hair from Key’s pat, I went to Taemin. “I had a great time Taemin.” He pulled me into a hug, a short but lovely hug. I waved goodbye and walked into the room flopping onto my bed. From the corner of my eye, I could see Taemin and Nicole whispering to each other. What were they talking about? I drowned my head in the pillows, its nothing.

After hearing the door close, I lifted my head and saw Nicole with a huge grin on her face. Staring at her strangeness, I said, “I’m just going to go to the restroom.” She nodded her head, that smile still painted on her face.

Coming back from the restroom, Nicole was laying on her bed watching Hannah Montana. Gosh, for a graduated student, Nicole was obsessed with Disney. If she has any free time, its spent drawing, flirting, or watching anything Disney related. Now if you see her room, it’s a kid’s heaven.

She probably has over a hundred Disney stuffed animals, and she has the classics, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Pluto, painted on her back wall. On the right, she has the animated Disney channel characters like Phineas, Ferb, Candace, Perry, all the princesses. The left wall is dedicated to Disney movies then her remaining wall is thankfully for all her drawings. Her room scares me which is the reason she usually sleeps over at my house instead. If I’m forced to sleep at her house, it’s in her basement.

Back to reality, I sneaked up behind her and took a seat on her back,
“Anything new bestest buddy?”

“You know, curiosity killed the cat.”

“…Heck, I have 9 lives, try me.”

“You’ll find out soon enough Ms. Nosey”

“…Ok, it’s soon enough. How about now?”

“How about you let me borrow your cell phone?”

“You have one right there Nicole.”

“It’s dead missy.”

“Fine.”

Being defeated, I went to my bed. I had a habit of putting my cell phone under my pillow; I thought my baby felt safe under there! I lifted my blue pillow, finding something else, and a picture. So this was what they were talking about, and what Taemin was going. The picture that Key had taken of us was now black and white and had ‘Black and white can enhance the beauty of things-unless they’re already beautiful enough. Taemin & Alina~2014’ written in fancy letters at top. Below the picture, there was something else written, a poem?

‘You’re more than just an Amigo; you’re my Juliette. The Best Place is when you Stand By Me. I wish I could put you on Replay, because you make my heart Ring Ding Dong. Your Love is Like Oxygen, and never a Last Gift. Our Love Should Go On, because it’s Forever or Never. It’s only You, because you are my SHINee Girl.’

It’s amazing how the cheesiest guys are always the sweetest. Nicole must’ve put have put this under my pillow while I was in the restroom. “Cheesy, right? Oh and smarty, your cell phone was in your hand the whole time.” Right, Nicole’s still here. Shit, she was right about my cell phone.

We spent the rest of the afternoon dancing. Remember how we established me being a health freak? Yea, after six hours of dancing to Korean music, we decided to pass out on our beds. Hours of Kara, BEG, T-ara, SNSD, IU, 4 Minute, f(x), and SHINee, you don’t give a crap if you’re starving. You’re just going to crash on your bed. But it felt good to dance, to me at least, knowing that you’re doing something other than sitting on the couch watching Disney. Heck, if I wasn’t Nicole’s best friend, she’d probably weigh a lot more. She should be happy, not complaining about ‘Her legs hurting’ or ‘None of my clothes are going to fit if I get skinnier.’ However, just a mention of her skinny jeans usually shuts her up.

So, we were left to put on our pajamas, Nicole’s having Winnie the Pooh on them and mine having Hello Kitty. After eating out favorite snack, cereal at night, we settled into our bed, pulling our covers over us. My bed being next to the window, I always looked outside. Tonight there was a full moon, and the sky looking like a blanket of stars. “Good night Alina-Buddy,” Nicole finally mumbled meaning she was going to try to go to sleep. After a couple of minutes of staring at the outside world, I felt my pillow vibrate. Who would text me at this time? I got my metallic blue LG Xenon from under my pillow and touched 'view' as a text message popped onto my screen.
