Poems

Found some wordplay-y poems I'd forgotten about, and I'mma post them here just for the heck of it. xD

The Adverb and the Adjective

The lonely adverb walked -
ploddingly, slowly
miserably, lowly,
maudlinly, weepily,
drowsily -
                  sleepily -
And the tender adjective found him there:
slumberous, somnolent, snoring,
solitary, sad and sorry.

"All right?" inquired the adjective.
- "Approximately," groaned the adverb.
"Good," beamed the adjective,
hauling and helping him up.

Adoringly looked the adverb
Into the adjective's eyes,
Who gazed, gentle and sweet,
Back into his.

Now they are
lovingly together,
achingly happy,

perfectly symbiotic.

Some Three-Line Poems About Words That Sound Like What They Mean

1

Ouroboros is a round word,

A smooth word,

a worm devouring its tail.

2

Ebullience has a bouncy gait,

an energetic skip and jog,

brimful with its lively joy.

3

A tercet is a

terse verse,

three lines writ.
