Despite the fact that I wanted to take pictures of stuff before posting but have been too lazy to... and despite the fact that I was planning on catching up on my government reading while I waited for a evening club meeting... I'm going to update sans pictures.
What has happened... hmmm..
On August 29 (I think),
just_j0yce, Jessica and I went and ate some really really excellent super excellent sushi at Tomodachi. As a result, Jessica and I are going to go vegetarian grocery shopping for a couple of weeks to save up... so that we can go again and eat a lot.
My little brother visited Austin Labor Day weekend. He brought up Fishy (my betta fish) and other random stuff. I also made him go to Round Rock Premium Outlets & IKEA with me. Mainly to go to IKEA to buy the EXPEDIT bookcase that I've been wanting (which I got). I also bought a PURPLE! Polo Ralph Lauren shirt from the Polo Outlet there... it was it's usual price at $39.99 but with an additional 15% off. :D I also bought white shorts and a striped purple/white tank top from J.Crew. I didn't linger there too long (although I should have! clearance section was additional 50% off... I got the shorts for $10 and the tank top for $2.50!!!) And I also got my Converse Chuck Taylor's! I got black and red. I have yet to wear them but I will soon.
I made my little brother carry the bookcase from his car to my apartment. At 75 pounds and rectangular, I'm betting it wasn't easy. Probably wasn't helpful that I kept laughing at him. I did help him carry it up the stairs, though.
I don't know if I wrote about it, but I also got the Papasan chair! I got a used frame on craigslist for $25 and a new cushion from Pier 1 for around $65. I didn't know that the cushion would be that expensive but... I had the frame. Need the cushion! I love the chair, by the way. Perfect for reading.
I'm almost done unpacking my room. I just have this one corner I've been lax about since I don't walk over it. I'll do it soon and post pictures!
Jessica and I plan on being more social this year. For me that means joining ABSA (Asian Business Students Association, with the ouch membership fee of $65) and KUSA (Korean Undergraduate Student Association). And maybe Minority Women Pursuing Law.
I think this is long enough.
