Woot! I finally found the time to update this. This is just a small day and links to my V-Rock review thoug hang tight as I will be posting up Day Five today as well, which is all the pictures of the RLD and Shibuya.
About this travel log: Written for Minka’s own personal amusement, now you get the chance to retrace her and Omni’s footsteps through the good, the seedy and the glitzy parts of Tokyo. Includes personal photos, fangirling, travel tips and random facts.
Covered Today: V-Rock, the reason for the trip.

Read about Day Four over in my
V-Rock Review.
Nothing else really happened on this day; I covered pretty much everything over in that previous review.
Like usual, we got up, had breakfast, took hours to get ready, caught the RIGHT train and made it there on time, warm and dry. Of course it didn’t rain now that we had our jackets and umbrellas.
The concert was amazing and so worth all the effort that went into planning the trip in a hurry.
Afterwards, we headed home, just two among the masses of VK fans to swarm Tokyo station and then line up orderly in order to use the escalator. That was a crazy sight. Once at our stop, we stumbled along the street towards our hotel and I remember feeling sort of lost. It was late, but not passed midnight and yet after the rush of the concert and the press of other fans, it felt oddly lonely out on the streets of Yotsuya, even though the lights of the small Onigiri stand burnt into the night and the doors of the always open AM/PM swung invitingly.
I left Omni at the convenience store and headed off into my dark little car park for another much needed cigarette. I remember leaning up against that wall, my hair flat, my extensions tangled, my makeup starting to crack, my fur trimmed coat hardly blocking the breeze as the heel of my right foot scraped against the wall behind me and as I inhaled that damn Japanese tobacco with the concert in my head, all I knew was that I was home. Fuck the concert, fuck the fangirling and the jrockers; standing there in the subdued glow of Tokyo’s nightlife, I knew that this was the place for me. It was an odd feeling and when Omni came around the corner, supporting some much needed canned coffee, I had no clue that said feeling would only get stronger the more we explored.
We smoked ourselves silly that night before heading back up to the hotel, grins on our faces and shoes scuffing tiredly.
Us not looking so good
I would just like to take a moment to apologise to the wonderful cleaning ladies of the hotel. That night very little effort went into getting ready for bed and while I did try and remove make up in the shower, packed on red eye shadow, black eyeliner and waterproof mascara has a way of getting everywhere. And I do mean everywhere. I will never understand why hotels insist on using white towels and pillowcases…

Please note: All photos continued within this report are mine and I do not want to see them popping up in other places. You may look but do not steal. They have been sized down in order to combat this. If you wish to use them, please contact me through email and we can work out some sort of arrangement.
