I died a little and then died a little more. but let me get over it and I'll comment in a second.

*breathe in breath out*

okay. fine now.

read day one - the travelling and it was quite hilarious the way you described it all. it also reminded me a lot of my own journey to Paris to see L'Arc~en~Ciel, with all the feeling lost and working out how to get where. but this one here, there's a lot of amazing strictly-Japanese kind of things and it had me dying again and again over the amazingness. :D

Broccoli.
why the fuck... okay, maybe that's just my personal hatred for broccoli, but why the fuck broccoli? it just seems so random. XD

the Golden Gai - wow. it's exactly the kind of place I love the most. I can understand you feeling inspired by it. it's just absolutely mindblowing, how just a place can do such amazing things to you.

it just looked weird and, for those interested, it is a block of apartments and yes, they are currently looking for tenants
shit, I'd give a lot to live in such a building. it's probably the best block of apartments I have ever seen and omg, how amazing one's mind has to be to create something like this?

the next building is quite cool too, the one with many levels. ahh, I just can't get over things like that. :D

I can see why you didn't want to go to Harajuku underdressed. even on those pictures, you can see many greatly dressed people and I imagine it was even more of a treat to walk there and see the amounts of them passing by in their lovely outfits.

just a mention of shopping makes my heart break [and my wallet hurt]. if I ever get to go to Japan, I'll probably have to schedule a few separate days just for shopping. and win a lottery first. D:

It is illegal to smoke on the streets in Japan.
hah, I had wanted to ask about it! so it is illegal. it's kind of funny, with how many people are smoking in Japan, and still it's not allowed to smoke in the streets. that must have been quite a bother. I wonder, were you allowed to smoke in your hotel room? or was there a special area for that too?

and Kabukicho, I'd so want to see it with my own eyes too. amazing.

great report, fun to read, and probably quite useful if I'll be planning a trip to Tokyo anytime soon. also nice pictures. I'll be waiting for next days and sorry in advance for probable [or should I say certain] dying in my comments.

I wonder how many times I wrote 'amazing' here... xD

The traveling was fun. I mean, it was hard and it got stressful but it was all part of the experience. It would have sucked if we didn't make a few mistakes along the way. Wouldn't have felt real.

Broccoli was awesome. I can't believe you don't like it. I mean, I was never obsessed with it before Japan, but I used to eat it. Now I crave it. Odd...

I dream about the Golden Gia. I think that is enough said... ;)

I have this odd thing for urban buildings, especially when you find crazy places like that tucked in between boring concrete and cement. But yeah, I want to know what those apartments look like inside. That would be pretty impressive.

Shopping was great, just not good for someone of my height and size. I am tall with broad shoulders and really long legs and fucked if I could find anything to fit. If it did, it looked whorey as it was all so short etc. But accessories and random stuff... best things ever!

It was odd to be somewhere where smoking was illegal. I mean, I'm not that heavy a smoker. When I work and when I write I chain smoke, but other than that I am ok. I can go without them when I want to, but tell me I can't do it (like the plane) and I flip the hell out. Then again, we sort of got around it a lot by hiding out of the way and whatnot.

As for the hotel, it was non smoking and even if it wasn't, I wouldn't have smoked. I HATE smoking in doors. It feels so wrong.

As for Kabukicho, I know it isn't much, but I do have images coming up in the next few days. It was such an amazing place. I loved it.

No need to apologize for the dying. I pretty much did it over and over again while writing all this out. God, it makes me home sick ;)

Thank you m'dear, and glad you enjoyed it. As for amazing... I believe that the count was 6... ;)
