Summary: Rain makes things peaceful.

"It's going to rain today." He murmured to you quietly and you looked over to see him gazing dreamily out the open window up to the light grey clouds above. You were only able to see one side of his face from your angle. The older male blew some black hair out of his eyes and rested his head on top of his folded arms that were on the windowsill. He had moved a chair over by the window earlier and opened the window, saying you needed some fresh air to rejuvenate your hardworking brain. Then, he just sat there. 'To keep you company with his presence', he had said.

"Have you seen the weather today?" You asked him in a curious tone while saving the document on your laptop and shutting the lid. You didn't like the fact that you couldn't see his whole face though, so you got up from the big mahogany work desk and sauntered over to stand behind him. The light footsteps were nearly silent due to the carpeted floors in your home office, but he knew you were there. Both of you could feel each other's presence well.

"Nah, I don't need to. I can tell it'll rain today." He replied and you realized that his voice was just as dreamy as his gaze when he looked up at you. He sighed softly and reached for your small hand with his. Of course, you gave it to him and your fingers interlaced perfectly as he pulled you down to sit on his lap. "Can't you smell it, Su?" He asked you as he rested his chin on your shoulder and inhaled your scent. Now you were gazing at the clouds up above like he had been doing earlier. You inhaled and exhaled quickly. The air smelled like it always did.

"No." You giggled softly when some of his black hair tickled your neck. "It smells like it always does." You replied simply, but your gaze lingered on the silver clouds outside. He chuckled after gently wrapping his arms around your waist, never moving his chin from your shoulder. You could feel him shake his head a little from side to side.

"Rain makes the air smell different. It smells like wet earth and fresh breeze." He paused thoughtfully for a moment and sure enough, the rain started to trickle down. You could hear it gently hitting the lush green trees and the dirty streets first, then you saw the clear arrows of water shooting directly down as the clouds started to release all of their moisture. It was a peaceful and quiet rain and both of you just sat there in each other's presence enjoying this rare moment of calm.

"Hm. You were right." You admitted to him as both of you gazed out the window to watch the drops slide down the leaves of the trees. "It started raining." He chuckled at the gently surprised tone in your voice.

"I know. You didn't believe me, did you?" You shook your head slowly, but didn't say anything and you could feel his charming smile forming against your cheek. "Are you done working for today?" He suddenly asked and you cursed mentally. You wanted to forget about the pile of work on your computer, but the stress of it all came back to you as you groaned. "I'll take that as a no." He laughed at your reaction and unwound his arms from around your waist. "Come on." He whispered quietly in your ear as he patted the side of your arm gently.

"What...?" You finally turned your gaze towards him and he stared back at you with loving eyes. You realized that he had been staring at you for the past few minutes instead of out the window and you got up from his lap immediately. He stood up too and your gazes locked. "I have to finish working." You said quickly and turned to walk back to your desk, but he caught up to you and took your hand in his. They laced together perfectly again.

"Let's go back to sleep, Su." He said softly as he led you out of the office into the hallway and towards your bedroom. You didn't put up much of a protest as he walked at a slow pace and you were right there by his side.
