channeling lemurians

first off, i'd like to thank the planet granite kids for getting me a little more psyched on climbing. it's always great to climb with those guys because they're so bloody enthusiastic about everything. playing add-on with them is hilarious. so, yeah, when climbing starts getting really fun again, i figure things are going well.

secondly, friday night consisted of heading back down to school to watch "what the (bleep) do we know?"; this movie, sorry to say, should have skipped the first five minutes, been alloted fifteen minutes, and then stopped. one they hit the 45 minute mark, their potential gains had been all but erased. thought provoking, to be sure, but nothing particularly new or shocking (at least to me, but i suppose bits of my life have been slightly... alternative.). i think what they were trying to say is that, to be on the safe side, you should get the water in your body blessed by a zen buddhist monk.

not really. i'm just being, well, me.

oh, so a funny thing happened on the way to the (forum?). my sister and i are doing college apps at the same time. she's just graduating from high school. i find this to be tragicomedically entertaining. except for the fact that apps suck nearly as much the second time around. i'm going to take the shotgun to this process. seriously. i'm hedging my bets by applying to every UC that's not the in the LA area. hopefully i'll get in somewhere.

in the meantime, i need to work on that whole getting strong thing. i gotted pumped off of Nat's Traverse in berkeley two moves from the finish. shameful. my conditioning, not so good. sometimes i need to summon the inner sav. well, hopefully i'll be in bishop next weekend, and that's pretty much amazing. i've been away far too long.

and on a side note, a certain newly minted santa cruz resident needs to call me so we can do that whole "hanging out" thing.
