Orange Caramel, tea café
Location: 5647 Yonge Street (Yonge-Bishop intersection, south of the YRT/Viva stops near Finch Subway Station, above Soho sushi) , North York, Ontario
Menu: Drinks and desserts. A bit pricey but so worth it, in my opinion.

The shop opened over the summer, I think, and with "tea café" in its name, I knew I had to drag Mary - one of my tea loving friends - to this place when the both of us were available. Before Mary and I headed off to European Day of Languages in Toronto, we tried this place out!

Between the something-Anderson restaurant and Soho is a door leading to the 2nd floor. Going in the stairway is lit with green lights, and the wall has holographic images of landscapes changing over the seasons. The best way I can describe the entrance, since we forgot to take photos haha.

Now for some photo spam. 8)

They're so cute and tiny, haha.

-- That's a rough on the drinks. There were sherbert and iced teas as well. And umm ... plenty of dessert.
Crepes, pancakes, toast, maybe cakes, and possibly other things.

Mary ordered velvet tea from the dessert tea section, and "green tea pancakes with ice cream."
After much thinking, my order was witch blend from the list of herbal teas, and honey butter milk toast.

The server kindly warned me that the witch blend was pretty sour but took it anyway. Challenge accepted! B]

Mary got her tea first and we were kind of surprised as to what came:

Cute glass cup! A little hourglass timer! A pot with water and tealeaves on the top...! (Rofl)
We were to follow the brown sand and to press the button on the top of her pot to drain the tea from the leaves. Neat stuff.

My set came a little after, as well as our food. Lots of shots taken thereafter:

Witch blend, a minute or two in:

Drained tea!:

Random other shots:

Witch blend has such a nice red colour. * U*)

The food! Believe both of what we ordered were $5-7, but oh man so worth it (and we got full pretty fast.)
Mary described the pancakes to be super rich, too. And I agree.

Definitely worth coming here again. But dragging more people here. eue)/

Oh and -- video on the tea draining (on our second refill), you can see it here
