Holy schmoly, she ain't dead. I was actually thinking that you lost your password or got a real life or something, since it's been forever since you last posted.

As for the smell, as long as it doesn't smell of almonds, I think you're alright. If it smells like almonds, either someone's leaving rat poison around, or you're getting gangrenous. Either way, not good. Oranges? Someone's trying to up your vit C intake. S'all good.

Technically, it tastes like almonds, but given how closely smell and taste are linked, I assume that if you ever manage to smell rat poison, it would taste like almonds as well.
