[GUESS WHO'S BACK IN TOWN? ... Somewhat more tiredly and LESS triumphantly than she wanted to be, but... hey. It's good to be back.]

[And after her Pokemon have... not seen even a glimpse of a Center in a good couple weeks or so, before anything else, Heather's bringing them in for some TLC.]

[... Buuut there's another reason, too.]

[There'll be a knock at the door to Ken's room, along with a familiar voice.]

[ It's a voice Miles hadn't been expecting to hear for another while, considering the past weeks and their events, but his head snaps up at it and the knocking, and he sets Rem and Rom down on the chair before he makes his way to the door, pulling it open.

[ And sure enough, it's his favorite (not that he'll admit it to you without prompting) blond teenager standing before him. The smile doesn't quite seem to make it, but he does look a little cheered up at her presence. ]

[Heather looks ... exhausted, and still not COMPLETELY clean from the road (although she at least gave her face a bit of scrub) but she's smiling, in any case.]

[ He twitches his face in another attempt at a grin, but it's hard to do that when your friend has gone back to live out his future and you both knew how messed up that future is going to be. He steps aside, though, to invite Heather in. ]

[ He's holding the Plusle and Minun in his arms a little too tightly to say he's completely alright, but that isn't something he'll admit right now. He'll later argue that he was just hugging her because they really had not seen each other for a long while.

[ He stares at her extended arm for a good few seconds before he nods and scoots over to her as well, accepting the offered hug. ]

Really, I'm alright, Heather.

[She definitely notices that, but-- hey, it's all right. She doesn't need him to 'fess up to anything... as long as he accepts the hug? He's gold. Wrapping the arm around his shoulders, she gives him a hearty squeeze.]

Well, yes, but... [ But he won't argue that point anymore. He stays in this hug for a few more seconds before he straightens again. ] How are you?

[ He really can't deny how nice and how much of a relief it is to see Heather. He isn't quite sure how far Merlin is in his traveling, and even then, it would be difficult to depend on a man whose own best friend from home had disappeared once again. And with Phoenix gone home and Mitsuru a great number of cities away, Miles had been stuck alone with a comatose best friend and worries about Ken building up exponentially. ]

[She lets him straighten up, but still keeps her arm loosely around him as he pulls away.]
