My past couple have days have been focused on researching a bit about minivans and trucks. We've had our van since 2002 when we bought it off a reposession lot. It was a good deal and it's been a good vehicle. Ford doesn't make minivans anymore so our history of owning Ford vans is ...well, history.

I've looked into various models of trucks and minivans and I just keep getting more confused. I don't want to buy a lemon. However our turn around time on this has to be fairly quick. We're both going to have to take time off of work to get this done. I'm thinking it's going to be another couple of weeks that we are sponging of the kindness of friends to get places. And that doesn't make me a happy camper.

I've spent a fair bit of time in the office today but overall my hours are about 60% of what they normally are. That's gonna hurt. Hey, at least I have a roof over my head and my kids aren't hungry. So it's all good. As long as I can keep it that way. And sometimes I wonder just when the axe will fall. It's like everyone is holding their breath.

I had to make a very difficult phone call this morning and tell a team client that the offer on her house has fallen apart. Today was the last day for the buyers to have sold their current home. They have the option of extending the deadline or letting the deal die. They've chosen to let the deal die. Meanwhile, our client (the seller) is back to square one and we have to get the house back on the market ASAP. I suspect they may take it off of the market until the Spring. Not the news that my boss will want to hear when he returns from Panama later today. But I supposed today isn't over and the buyers may change their minds. Doubt it.

I'm starting to get into the mood for Christmas. It's hitting me much earlier this year than in previous year and I find I've had the urge to get the decorations down from the attic and roll with it. I've resisted. Not to be a grinch...but...come on...do you really need to have your tree up from November 11th to Valentines Day?

Someone stole all of my chocolate chips. They shall pay.
