I know people are waiting for an update....
This week has been really crazy. Kali was admitted to the hospital monday for strep pneumonia. Basically they think that she has had strep since november and it went into her lungs and caused pneumonia. The doctor explained to me that this is very serious because if the strep were to go from her lungs to her bloodstream it would attatch itself to her heart valves and kidneys and cause major damage. So my poor baby girl had to get admitted and get IV rosefin. It took until wednesday for the rosefin to brin her fever down (it had been up to 102.5-104 since friday). Wednesday she slept all day and when she woke up it was much better. She had to get three iv's because one went bad and then they had to redo one because it missed the vein. She was such a trooper.
So thursday afternoon she was discharged and put on bedrest until at least monday. Thursday afternoon I took the other two in to get them checked out. Aria has a double ear infection, Kyle has something that appears to be viral but with all the bacterial stuff happening in our house they medicated him too.
so the kids are all doing much better now.
Kali was quite the trooper. She was a much better patient than most of the adults on the floor she was on. They don't have a pediatric ward because the hospital is too small so she was on a floor with adults but she had a camera in her room.
I am exhausted, chett is exhausted... but our little girl is home and recovering. THANK GOD!
