OmiGAWD, it's been sooo long since I've last posted a fic. I'm working on the Nyan series, I promise you, *avoids bricks* but was sidetracked by an idea for a juntoshi fic, kinda my guilty pleasure these days :D So here you go!

Title: Night Air
Pairing: Ohno/Jun
Length: One-shot, 989 words
Author: ministryofbees
Genre: My all-time favourite, FLUFF! Some comedy, too.
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: Unfortunately, only own the plot.

Summary: Cute Juntoshi action before bedtime! Need I say more?

The crickets chirped loudly, filling the summer air with rhythmic music. A warm gust of wind hit Jun’s face as he opened the window. “It’s even hotter outside,” he whined, quickly closing the window. He turned around and walked lazily towards the bed, pulling his old t-shirt off and revealing a toned but pale torso, leaving him with only boxers on.

Peeking out from beneath the bedcovers, Ohno stared at him for a while, before checking the remote control of the air conditioner. “It’s on full blast, you know. Any colder and I’ll freeze to death,” he complained, pulling the covers over his head. “Just sleep, you’ll forget about the heat in a little while,” said a muffled voice.

Jun flicked the light switch off and flopped down beside Ohno. He stared at a ray of auburn light filtering through a gap in the curtains, imperceptibly illuminating the room and making it seem even warmer. He sighed loudly and turned to face the big lump of bedcover beside him. After a few moments, Jun whispered softly, “It’s hot.” He waited. The lump didn’t move.

Jun edged in closer. “It’s hot.” No reaction. Jun rested on his elbow, placing his mouth close to the part where he hoped hid Ohno’s pink ears and repeated in a low, manly tone, “It’s hot!”

A giggle came from underneath the covers. Jun grinned.

Ohno’s head appeared. He pouted his lips at Jun and said, “Well, what do you want me to do about it?” Jun hummed loudly, squeezing his almond eyes shut as he thought. He opened his eyes and locked them on Ohno’s. Smiling surreptitiously, he said, “You know, maybe I’m not hot at all. Maybe I’m just…”

Ohno eyed him suspiciously, saying, “Maybe you’re just…?”

Jun laughed seductively. The next moment, he was on Ohno, straddling his hips. Ohno’s eyes glinted, and he said, “So that’s your idea, huh? Let me tell you, Jun, if we go on like this, you’re only gonna get hotter.” “You’d like that, don’t you?” Jun whispered. Ohno shrugged, feigning indifference. Jun lowered his head and kissed Ohno. His lips feel cold, Jun thought.

Jun pushed the covers away from Ohno’s body with a flourish, only to reveal him in a grey sweatshirt and long pyjama pants. “Aww, why do you have so much on?” Jun complained. Ohno smiled lazily and sneezed.

“Wait, don’t tell me. You’re sick, aren’t you?” Jun felt Ohno’s forehead with the back of his palm. It was sticky with sweat and warm to the touch. Too warm. His neck was worse. “You ARE sick! You’ve got the flu!” Jun exclaimed. “Rats,” Ohno said silently. Jun narrowed his eyes. “You didn’t want me to know, didn’t you? Did you think I would get mad?” he asked. Ohno covered his face with his hands in shame.

“Of course I would get mad! That’s what you get for going fishing three nights in a row! And you didn’t tell me, too!” Jun said angrily. After a few seconds of simmering tension, Ohno suddenly chuckled. Surprised, Jun furrowed his eyebrows in irritation and asked, “What’s so funny?” Ohno replied from behind his slender fingers, “You kinda sound like my mom.”

Jun’s face burned with fury, and then he laughed, rolling of Ohno’s hips and landing on his back on the bed. Ohno peered curiously through his fingers. When Jun ceased laughing, he said, “It’s amazing that you still have your sense of humour when you’re sick. I am still mad though; don’t think that I am going to let that mother reference slide past so easily, but you’ll get your punishment after you get better. Now I need to take care of you. Do you want a wet towel?”

Cautiously, Ohno said, “A hot water-bottle?”

“Right.” Jun leapt out of the bed, flipped the lights back on and went to the bathroom. Ohno heard some rustling and the sound of running water. Jun came back into the room with the hot water-bottle wrapped in a towel, a box of tissue and a waste basket. He placed the box of tissue on the side table and the waste basket on the floor beside Ohno’s side of the bed. He passed the hot water-bottle to Ohno. Jun smiled and said, “Now, say ahh~” Ohno looked at Jun incredulously.

“Just open your mouth, babe,” said Jun soothingly. Ohno opened his mouth obediently. A small thermometer materialized in Jun’s hand. He placed it beneath Ohno’s tongue and pushed Ohno chin up to close his mouth. Jun flopped back into bed and stared happily at Ohno. “You like playing nurse, don’t you?” Ohno mumbled with the thermometer in his mouth, faking annoyance. Jun grinned and said, “Just to you,” and popped the thermometer out of Ohno’s mouth, scrutinizing the tiny screen.

“It’s just a slight fever. You’ll get better in a couple of days. Which is good because then I’ll get to carry out the punishment soon,” Jun smirked. Ohno pouted slightly.

Jun hopped up and went back to the bathroom to replace the thermometer. Before flipping the light switch back off, he grabbed the remote control of the air conditioner and turned it off.

“But- but didn’t you say you were hot?” Ohno protested feebly, as Jun got into bed. Jun turned and smiled, replying, “It’s okay. I was just being a princess. If you’re still cold, I can cuddle up with you ‘til morning. I’ll make you some porridge for tomorrow’s breakfast, ‘kay?”

Ohno beamed and threw his arms around Jun, saying, “You’re the best, Jun.” Jun smiled and replied, “I know. You’ve got snot running down your nose, though,” and handed Ohno some tissue. Ohno blew his nose noisily. Jun kissed his forehead. “Goodnight.” “Night, Jun” replied Ohno, snuggling into the younger man’s chest. He remembered something and said seriously, “Oh. By the way, you can be my nurse anytime.” The night air filled with Jun’s laughter.

Hope you had as much fun reading it as I did writing it!
Comments are cherished, preserved in sugar, and kept in old jam bottles for me to look at everyday :D
Something wrong? Boring? Too long? Too short? Not cute enough? Then constructive critism is the way to go! :D

Ramblings and rants:
Today has been one of the worst days in my poor life. Been feeling REALLY depressed since morning when I realised that my life-long dream isn't gonna come true and felt so stuck and lost and hopeless and stuff happened that made things worse, and the dining table was flipped over. Yes, you read right. So writing this fic made me feel a bit better. Hands are still kinda shaky and feel like crap though. ;~; Made a new friend too, that made me feel a lot better :)

oh-chan, rambles, matsujun, one-shots, fanfic time!
