Our Sam was a rescued puppy from the shelter. He had been turned in TWICE before we took him. They told me that we were his last chance. Which was just appalling to me. And, of course, the excuse from both families that rejected Sam was "he jumps on the kids". HE WAS A FUCKING PUPPY! For god's sake- puppies JUMP. Idiots. Keep your kids back and train your animals, problem solved! Anyway, Sam is ours and is a fantastic dog. He's a fantastic friend and companion and I think he's a wonderful treasure. It is just disgusting how people just "throw away" their pets because of some stupid reason that is easily fixable- if they'd just take the TIME to work on the problem.

Do you watch The Dog Whisperer on the National Goegraphic channel? I swear to you- Ceaser Milan is an amaing, amazing man. The things I have learned from him are wonderful. And Sam has benefited so much from my learning, also what he does and how he works with the animals and the energy he promotes works the same way when applied to toddlers too- so that's a double win!! Ha!

Anyway, it's a horrid thing that she saw but it's such a HUGE problem and how else can it be solved? Aside from spaying and neautering, which can help drasticly. But it doesn't solve all. We need to educate the public about animals and their rights as living domesticly and the responibilies we have to them as people who share their world.
