The Kids Are Back!
Finally! We have all the kids back in campus after having them out of the school premises for three weeks due to the AH1N1 scare. The Saudi Ministry of Education had all schools closed for quarantine. But we still had to go to work even though the kids aren't around...
Anyway, it was awfully busy in the principal's office this morning because there was a flood of new students that came in today. So I was running around showing the new kids to their classrooms and touring them around the place.
In the library, there was a whole bunch of books that needed to be shelved but thanks to Ms. Siti and Ms. Aisha we were able to finish shelving in a giffy. Things were pretty nice and slow after that.
The school was alive once again as the hallways echoed students' voices and footsteps. I then realized how much I missed having the kids around. Although it was heavenly to be able to work quietly, the school was different without the kids. So yeah I enjoyed work today.
Oh, and our assistant principal had her office open for some lil' snacks, which I greatly enjoyed... yum!
