Hello, Internet!

Sep 08, 2011 23:04

It has been several months since my last post and a lot has happened.
My hometown finally acquired public access internets, of course at the only place that I really shouldn't be on the internet: my place of work. Of course, sometime I checked my facebook anyway, but that's not the point.
There was a little drama, my sister and I both fired our boyfriends around the same week, and her ex has proven to be more than annoying, oversharing about his adventures with ladies and such. Mine has been a better experience, although the actual breaking up with someone part was pretty sucky. I never want to have to do that again, but I'm sure it's inevitable.
Of course, I found a replacement. :)
Unfortunately, there are issues with this.
Pros:
He smiles.
He has a full-time job.
He is also in a band.
There are muscles.
I do not feel like I am always talking down to him, nor do I think I bore him when I talk about boring religious studies stuff.

Cons:
He lives in StL.
I do not.

So, you see the problems here. Fortunately, he has INITIATIVE and will be visiting me next weekend. Yay. But it still sucks that I seem to have traded one long-distance boyfriend for an even longer-distance boyfriend. What is wrong with me?

Speaking of school, that is where I returned about two weeks ago. Everything fell into place pretty perfectly, even the stuff that I thought was going to go poorly, like my officer position in ballroom club and my new job in the writing center.
