Last month I went to the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo, which was basically a one-day fair in a big convention arena. Lots of comics, lots of anime and many many guests, mostly from the comic book industry. But there were some movie/TV guests that I was interested in seeing -- being the Browncoat that I am, I was excited to be able to meet and get autographs from Morena Baccarin and Christina Hendricks. Robert Picardo and Ray Park were also guests, and I got autographs from them too. There was one track of panels that was tucked in a corner of the arena, and the only one I attended was for the science fiction actors. And a great panel it was too -- many interesting questions were asked from the audience, and one request for a "demonstration" was actually fulfilled by Ray Park, who at first said "no" but finally relented and borrowed a double-bladed light saber from a fan. He then did a short demonstration of some of the saber fighting moves from Star Wars. Damn, the guy is good! So cool!
I took my digital camera with me and was able to get some pictures, but between the lousy lighting and the crowded conditions -- there was a heck of a camera-jostle problem -- I managed only a few that could be called "good" (by a large stretch).
