Yay!!! I'm finally in the city!!! Things are going pretty well. It's very strange to be out of school and out of Indiana, and now trying to figure out what life's about. So far, I have an apartment, a job, and a date (yeah, what's THAT about?!), and I also have a lot of cardboard moving boxes sitting in my room and living room which need to be torn apart into flat pieces. I'm sorry, there's only so much a girl can do in a few days time...I cannot be bothered with silly little chores like RECYCLING. Geeze, NY.
Next week it looks like there are about 5 auditions that I can go to, which is exciting and kind of frightening at the same time. I've only been to a couple of auditions in NY previously, so it's a bit nerve-wracking to me. I don't know, maybe some people have no problem with it, or they just get used to it, but to me it's like jumping into a pool. I know once I get in it's not going to be that cold, but it's convincing myself to jump that's the hard part. I also need to clean up my audition book, because there's nothing that I hate more than being unprepared. But it's time to just jump in.
I have about an hour before I need to leave for work at the Outback Steakhouse on 56 and 3rd (please feel free to frequent my section whenever you are in town), so I think I'm going to try to tackle those boxes. Pshh...recycling. Who cares about the environment? ;)
In a New York state of mind,
Renee
