Thank You Colin Powell

Another political post, so you might not want to read if you are voting for McCain.

Thank you Colin Powell. My respect for you has grown even more. While people may give you flack for Iraq, I know that it was not all your fault. You were put out there as the fall guy, and boy did Bush and Cheney let you fall.

I will say, however, that I was very proud of you for calling Darfur a genocide. You forced the international community to look at the situation. You forced Americans to open their eyes. We said "Never again" to genocide, however, we tried to ignore and still try to ignore what is going on over there. I understand you put your neck on the line with that statement, which many people in your party did not appreciate, but I appreciated it.

Thank you for endorsing Obama. I'm sorry there are a lot of ignorant people out there that will only say you voted for him because you both are black. They keep telling us our country has come so far and that the US is colorblind, but this election has brought out the ugly side of our country.

Thanks for staying strong. Obama/Biden '08

politics, obama
